Unfortunately this is not the first time AVG has falsely reported popular software as a virus.\u00a0 AVG has reported <a href=\"http:\/\/chaseandsam.com\/2007\/07\/world-of-warcraft-trojanvirus-or-avg.html\">World of Warcraft<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.googlecommunity.com\/forum\/google-desktop-search-forum\/24361-getting-trojan-horse-warning-avg.html\">Google Desktop<\/a>, and even the <a href=\"http:\/\/securityandthe.net\/2008\/11\/10\/avg-virus-scanner-removes-critical-windows-file\/\">Windows operating system<\/a> itself as a virus!\u00a0 If AVG has falsely reported that Windows is a virus and it damaged your computer there is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/avg-false-positive-user32-dll-restore-tool\/\">fix available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To uninstall AVG go to add\/remove programs in the Windows control panel.\u00a0 There are many other free antivirus software products that are available like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kaspersky.com\/\">Kaspersky<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.download.com\/Avast-Home-Edition\/3000-2239_4-10019223.html?tag=contentBody;mostPopTwoColWrap&amp;cdlPid=11004783\">Avast<\/a> that will allow you to use our ManyCam software.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have read several reports from users that AVG Antivirus is falsely reporting that ManyCam is a virus and this false report can block ManyCam from starting.
